Cauliflower Poppers

Easy and super yummy as a side dish or afternoon snack.

Turn on the oven to 425º and by the time your oven is preheated you'll have your head of cauliflower chopped up.

Drizzle cauliflower florets with extra virgin olive oil and season with sea salt.

Place on a cookie sheet and bake for about 20 minutes.

The first time I made this my kids and their friends devoured it within seconds.  Seriously!

I tried to tell my popcorn-loving friend this would be a good substitute for her popcorn cravings but after making and eating it again, it really doesn't take care of that need for crunch.

It is delicious, though!  I hope you try it.

    1. Let me know if you try it and what you think. Or maybe you guys could come over and I'll make it for you.

  2. Do they have the strong cauliflower smell? Can you rake them into say, oh, I don't know, the dollar theater undetected?

    1. Well, it smells like cauliflower. Haven't found a way to cook cauliflower that takes the smell go away. Maybe if you wear a lot of perfume, it will mask the smell. :) Good luck!

  3. This is one of my favorite snacks to make, and kale chips. Sadly, can't get hubby to like this, even when I add curry powder and a touch of cayenne. He just can't get past the cauliflower. More for me! :)

    1. Wow, no cauliflower and no green beans. It's tough with a short list of veggies you can make. I'm working on a post for cauliflower crust pizza. I wonder if you could get that past him...

Have you tried cauliflower mash? Tried mixing it with parsnips?
